WECA Dilla High School in Ethiopia, newly built by the World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) for Ethiopian children who desperately need learning opportunities, finally opened its doors and held its first class and a moving opening ceremony. Welcome.
A high school where children can study safely and comfortably was built in the Dilla region of Ethiopia, where educational infrastructure is severely lacking, and the first new students were welcomed.
The classroom, which started with 15 students, began to grow one by one with a desire to learn, and was soon filled with 47 precious dreamers.
While textbooks, desks, and chairs were gradually being installed, taking on the appearance of a learning center, on September 30, about 100 people, including students, parents, and local education office officials, gathered in one place and held a meaningful official opening ceremony.
At the event, which began with ribbon cutting and sharing of traditional congratulations, students presented Korea's 'Arirang' to the guests as a surprise chorus, filling the venue with deep emotion and cheers. It is fully filled.
With the passionate passion of the teachers, regular classes are being conducted stably without a single missing class, and the school is transforming into a more secure home every day, including the construction of a playground and completion of the school gate. There is.
In addition to regular subjects, we prepare a variety of special education such as computer, English conversation, Korean, and Taekwondo, and continue to provide motivational education so that each student can find a clear career path and goal. We plan to help the whole person grow beyond knowledge transfer.
There are still spaces that need to be filled, such as laboratory equipment and sports supplies, but in the newly built school, children are starting to envision their own future for the first time in their lives. rgb(0, 0, 0);">We ask for your continued love and strong companionship so that Ethiopian youth can overcome poor environments and grow into warm talents who will change the world in the newly established learning center of hope.
"Building a new school and embracing children is the surest seed of hope that brightens the future of a region.
WECA will stay by our side until the end so that Dilla's youth can overcome poverty through education and confidently pursue their dreams."
