[Overseas] News from the WECA Tree of Life Center Choir in Amman, Jord…

Overseas 2026. 09. 28 09:48

Supported by the World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) for culture and arts educationJordan Amman Tree of Life Center,

We have delivered warm news of the start of the new semester for refugee children who are healing their hearts and developing their dreams.

WECA Tree of Life Center has recently been offering a variety of new music classes to help children develop rich sensitivity and emotional stability.

During the week, children from the lower grades of elementary school to middle school age gather to conduct lively choir classes.

The children listened to familiar and bright songs such as 'Do-Re-Mi Song' and 'You Are My Sunshine' and learned the lyrics step by step.

The children showed amazing concentration and understanding by maintaining correct choral posture and dividing the sound into each part to complete one harmony.

Children who were shy at first are gradually singing with louder voices and gaining confidence in themselves.

On weekends, piano lessons and vocal training are held to solidify the fundamentals of the keyboard.

In order for children to practice more comfortably, the classroom was reorganized into a slightly larger space than before, further improving the class environment.

Despite the unfamiliar start of touching the keyboard for the first time, the children fell in love with the clear tone of the piano while seriously learning the basic fingerings and scales.

The children's eyes are full of excitement and anticipation for the next class as they press each key clearly.

In the process of learning music together and matching voices, refugee children learn to be considerate of each other, cooperative, and brightly and courageously pursue their dreams even in an unfamiliar environment.

We ask for your warm interest and strong support so that the children of Amman, Jordan, who are growing in spirit through beautiful melodies and clear songs, can sing of greater hope.

"Just as different voices come together to create one beautiful harmony, music is the warmest thing that comforts children's hearts and instills cooperation and self-esteem. Education.

WECA will work with Jordanian refugee children to heal their wounds and dream of a bright future through cultural education."
