The entire village of the World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) disappeared without a trace due to a record-breaking flood.Emergency food for flood victims in Uttargame district, Rasuwa, Nepal Support has been expanded.
The historic village with 500 years of history, located on a tributary where two rivers meet, was instantly swallowed by muddy water as the river flowed back violently.
More than 1,000 residents lived at the site where roads and houses had collapsed so horribly that neither roads nor houses could be distinguished. A profound tragedy occurred in which more than 300 people, including students and teachers, lost their lives in the strong water that flooded traditional markets and schools.
WECA set out to secure emergency relief supplies that can provide immediate meals for the victims who lost their families and homes overnight and were barely able to make fires by picking up tree branches as gas facilities were cut off.
Losita, the owner of a local wholesaler, willingly participated by lowering the supply price upon hearing that it was helping the devastated Lasuwa area, and local workers and other officials also rolled up their sleeves and helped load the relief truck. I helped.
Prepared with warm local solidarity.3.8 tons of rice (155 bags of 25kg), 310kg of beans, 155kg of sugar, cooking oil 155 liters (15 boxes), 155 kg of salt is Enough to feed about 300 households for a while was delivered quickly.
It is a land of despair where everything has been swept away, but thanks to the warm hands of the general public, the surviving victims are gaining the strength to endure the day again.
This emergency food aid is the first step in protecting the lives of those suffering from starvation, and is the most basic stepping stone for children who are afraid of disaster to regain their daily lives and learning.
The children who survived the devastating flood will forget hunger and return to a safe environment as soon as possible. In order to be able to study with a pencil in hand, we ask for your earnest interest and urgent help from our supporting members.
"The sorrow of the victims who lost their home and precious family in an instant is immeasurable.
I hope that the warmth of a warm meal will give Rasu, the victims, and the children trapped in despair the courage to live again.
WECA will not let go until children return to their daily lives and learning healthily without losing hope."
