We bring you meaningful news about educational support that will brighten the dreams of children in refugee camps.
Uganda Adjumani Located in a refugee camp in South Sudan Agojo WE Secondary School A ‘free textbook sharing event’ was held for children.
This textbook support project, which continues this year as well in 2025, is like a sweet treat in a drought for refugee youth who had been struggling to study relying on poor notes and explanations without even a textbook. It was encouragement and hope.
At this event, S3, S4 (middle and high school) students, textbooks on key subjects essential for upper grades, such as English, mathematics, chemistry, and physics, were distributed according to the quantity.
The eyes of the students holding their new textbooks were filled with a passion for learning and a strong will for the future.
These children who continue to learn without putting down their books even in the difficult environment of the refugee camp are the confident leaders who will lead the future reconstruction of South Sudan.
We ask for the warm interest and continued support of our sponsors so that children in blind spots in Africa can study to their heart's content without being constrained by poverty and refugees.
"Textbooks are not just books with letters, but the only way for children in refugee camps to look at the wider world and change their lives. It is the key.
WECA will continue to spare no effort in providing books and educational resources so that the youth of Adjumani Refugee Camp can grow into leading figures of South Sudan's great future without losing learning opportunities."
