The World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) is operating the ‘WECA Dream Cup Futsal Program’ in earnest to help children at local children’s centers in Korea grow healthily through sports and learn the spirit of cooperation and challenge.

WECA provides systematic futsal training and emotional support to each local children's center that receives applications.

In the training that started last June, we started with running and warm-up exercises to improve basic physical strength, and then had time to learn basic soccer skills at each stage, such as 3-a-side pass, forward pass, figure 8 dribble, missed leg dribble, and change of direction dribble. 

Children who strengthened their fundamentals through repeated practice gradually gained confidence in playing.

According to evaluations from each local children's center, children are deeply learning the 'values of cooperation and communication' beyond simply improving skills. 

During training, we naturally strengthened teamwork by exchanging passes with each other and informing team members of our positions. We also developed a sense of responsibility for preparing for the competition by reviewing training videos together and looking back on our own play objectively.

The most valuable achievement shown by the children during the four weeks was the ‘will to work hard until the end’ and ‘sticky camaraderie’ rather than the development of technology.

Children who became the agents of their own growth and learned the value of sincerity have laid a solid foundation to leap even higher in next month's training.
