The World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) has gone on a very special journey to broaden the perspectives of young people preparing for self-reliance, foster a sense of history and community, and provide opportunities to design their own future vision.
This ‘2026 Self-Reliance Preparation Youth Vision Trip’ was held on the beautiful islands of Ulleungdo and Dokdo for 3 days and 2 nights from Wednesday, July 8 to Friday, July 10.
4 youths preparing for self-reliance from Busan and Gyeongsan accompanied us on this meaningful journey.
Participating youth enjoyed the natural beauty of Ulleungdo and Dokdo for three days and two nights and participated in local experiences and local activities.
In addition, we had time to share our concerns and envision our own future in detail through the ‘self-reliance vision exploration activity’, which is essential in the period of preparing to stand alone.
Pre- and post-surveys and testimonials were completed before and after the trip, allowing us to directly confirm the children's positive psychological changes and high level of satisfaction.
We are deeply grateful to the sponsoring members who accompanied us so that teenagers preparing for self-reliance as they prepare for their bold first steps into the world are not lonely, and who gave children a wide world and a warm vision.
"In order for teenagers to take their first steps as confident members of society, they need a broad perspective and strong community support to plan their own future.
WECA will continue to provide practical and continuous support to help young people find their own vision and become healthy and independent without the constraints of the environment."
