The World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) is carrying out the 'Local Children's Center Hope Support Project' to help underprivileged children and youth in Korea develop healthy dreams through exposure to diverse cultural arts, physical education, and science education.
This project supported various customized program education tailored to the characteristics of each local children's center in order to awaken children's potential and help their emotional growth.
From a long-term perspective, it will be carried out systematically for one year to promote continuous change and growth of children at local children's centers.
By providing opportunities for in-depth learning rather than just a short experience, it will serve as a strong foundation for children to take a leap forward.
We fostered rich artistic sensibilities through education on musical instruments spanning the East and the West, such as playing the gayageum, violin, and guitar, and provided opportunities to develop physical expression and cooperation by supporting cheerleading and hip-hop dance classes that allow people to fully unleash their energy.
In addition to a table tennis class to promote basic physical strength and learn a healthy sports spirit, we also ran a program to create healthy habits to help children take care of their bodies and minds in their daily lives.
We received a warm response by supporting robot coding classes to help children develop creativity and logical thinking in line with the upcoming future society.
Children who were unfamiliar and had difficulty with the new field at first gradually gained confidence and showed a lively appearance by actively participating in the class.
This project went beyond simple educational support and became a valuable stepping stone of hope for children to dream of a new tomorrow.
We sincerely thank our supporting members who provide a strong fence so that children can enjoy a variety of experiences regardless of their environment and grow into a healthy and confident future generation.
"Various experiences are the most powerful force that helps children grow their minds and dream of the future.
WECA will continue to provide diverse educational and emotional support through close cooperation with local children's centers across the country to ensure that children do not experience educational gaps."
