The World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) successfully concluded the 'Children's Day Alternative School Reading and Writing Contest' held for students at alternative schools in the Incheon area to celebrate Children's Day.

This competition is designed to help students think deeply through books, freely express their inner feelings in writing, and establish correct values.

A special time to put dreams and thoughts into words

In this competition, many students from alternative schools in Incheon Metropolitan City participated and told their own honest stories.

Customized books for each student's level are selected to share the inspiration gained from reading “The Hen Who Came Out of the Yard,” “Almonds,” and “You, How Shall We Live?” and their own lives. They connected and presented high-quality works.

Celebration held at the Golden River Hotel

The competition award ceremony was held at the Golden River Hotel, and the event opened with a congratulatory address and words of thanks from the principal of Incheon Alternative Education Institute.

At the subsequent awards ceremony, special awards, encouragement awards, excellence awards, and grand prizes were awarded to students who showed creative and deep insight.

Teachers and officials who attended the awards ceremony congratulated the children's growth in unison.

This competition went beyond a simple competition and became a valuable opportunity for alternative school students to cultivate literary knowledge and gain confidence.

We are deeply grateful to our sponsoring members who provide strong support so that children can read and write to their heart's content and pursue their dreams regardless of their environment. We give it to you.

"Writing has the power to broaden children's perspectives on the world, heal their minds, and grow.

WECA will continue to provide continued interest and support to children in domestic alternative education fields so that they can grow up to be proud members of society through a variety of educational experiences."

— World Educational Cultural Aid Chairman Bang Jeong-hwan
