Overseas 2026. 06. 08 12:59

To celebrate World Children's Day on June 1, the WECA Dream Center in Bukhara, Uzbekistan was filled with the bright laughter of village children.

A total of 107 people, including 70 children aged 7 to 13 living in a village near the center, 20 parents, and 17 staff members who gathered to celebrate, gathered in one place and enjoyed a meaningful festival.

A stage for celebration that transcends borders and becomes one through culture

This event was designed to celebrate and encourage children from low-income families who had difficulty enjoying cultural benefits due to economic difficulties.

The opening of the festival was decorated with a variety of eye-catching performances.

A beautiful traditional Korean fan dance, a sophisticated Taekwondo demonstration, and an exciting traditional dance performance from Uzbekistan continued to heat up the venue.

The children's eyes sparkled and they applauded generously at the spectacular movements on stage.

A global cultural experience with staff from around the world

After the performance, there was a traditional play session to enjoy with the whole body.

The children had the opportunity to learn about Korean culture in a friendly way by experiencing fun traditional Korean games.

Children and parents created unforgettable and happy memories through various recreational programs, carefully prepared gifts, and warm fellowship.

The families who visited the site expressed their deep gratitude to the sponsors who gave their children an unforgettable day.

“I saw a bright tomorrow for Bukhara in the faces of children smiling brightly on Children’s Day.

WECA will continue to be a strong fence around the world so that underprivileged children can laugh and pursue their dreams to their heart’s content regardless of their environment.”

— Bang Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid
