[Overseas] News from WECA Choir at Watprachakkassem, Chiang Mai, Thail…

Overseas 2026. 05. 28 09:19

Chiang Mai, ThailandWat Phra Chakase School WECA ChoirThe classroom was filled with children's singing after the long summer vacation.

In the third week of May, the children who returned to class after a long time were healthy and had grown significantly during the vacation.

This semester, the 6th grade seniors I grew up with will graduate, and there will be no one to fill their positions. 8 new freshmenI'm new to this choir.

The little friends who were taking choir class for the first time listened to the class with sparkling eyes, as if everything was fascinating.

The freshmen, who had been shyly trying to raise their voices to the friendly lead of the seniors, soon harmonized together and sang happily.

As it was our first meeting in a long time, today's class was filled with time to lightly warm up and review step by step the staves, the names of the lines, and the notes and rests.

After solidifying the basics, the children then learned the new song “The Three Little Pigs” together and completed the first harmony of the new semester.

Thanks to the warm love sent by our sponsors, the children will continue to grow through music in a safe environment this semester.

Please support our children as they study happily in the new semester.

“I am proud to see the children who have grown up so much after vacation and the new students who are taking their first steps with excitement.

WECA will continue to provide strong support so that children in underprivileged areas can gain confidence and pursue their dreams happily through music.

Bang Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid
