At School No. 17 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Korean language classes are actively being held to open up a bright future for children.
This class, attended by a total of 39 middle and upper grade students, was full of excitement as they reviewed what they had learned and prepared for a new leap forward.
In the vocabulary and grammar test conducted before the actual class, the children showed off their skills with a serious attitude.
Middle-grade children learned past expressions and propositional grammar that can be used in real life under the theme of 'weekend activities', and upper-grade children acquired more in-depth vocabulary and sentence structures under the theme of 'weather and seasons'.
Through speaking and writing practice conducted with the teacher, the children gradually made the unfamiliar language of Korean their own and enjoyed the joy of learning.
In addition to studying, I also had time to make special memories.
On Friday, we had a great day outside the classroom, watching a movie, and playing around at the amusement center and skating rink.
Seeing the children smiling brightly and happily was a precious time that gave great reward and deep emotion to the teachers.
This meaningful opportunity will become a valuable source of nourishment that will be remembered for a long time in the pure hearts of children.
The process of learning a new language opens the door for children to a wider world.
The World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) plans to continue providing educational support through Korean language schools to help Mongolian children dream bigger and grow into healthy members of society.
“Exposure to a new culture through language infinitely expands children’s possibilities. WECA will be a strong companion so that Mongolian children can confidently envision their future using Korean as a stepping stone.”
— Bang Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid
The World Educational Cultural Aid will continue to provide field-centered educational support activities to ensure that children are not excluded from educational opportunities and can fully develop their potential.
