I visited a site where children at Elim School in Sawannakhet, Laos, are concentrating on their studies while dreaming of a wider world. We had a meaningful time visiting schools and delivering much-needed school supplies to children. This kind of educational support becomes a valuable stepping stone for children to continue learning in a better environment.
The Korean language test was in full swing at Elim School’s Korean Language Institute. I had time to check my skills by solving problems based on what I had learned over the past three weeks. Thanks to the warm support provided through overseas ties, the children received new school supplies and participated in classes and exams with more enthusiasm.
Although the students seemed to be having a bit of a hard time due to the hot weather, their will to learn did not break. As each test question was explained step by step, the children listened intently and showed amazing understanding. This consistent educational support is a great help in helping Laos children overcome difficult circumstances and realize their dreams.
We will continue to provide support to Sawannakhet Elim School students so that they can grow into healthy members of society through quality education.
“I see a bright future for Laos in the sparkling eyes of children holding new pencils and notebooks. I hope that this test preparation and distribution of school supplies will be a valuable opportunity to awaken the joy of learning in children.”
