To celebrate the Lunar New Year, we cooked rice cake soup and shared a warm meal with the children at the orphanage. A bowl of rice cake soup, which symbolizes the first day of the new year, is filled with health and hope, adding to the hope that children can have a warm holiday.

The children enjoyed the steaming rice cake soup and smiled brightly, saying, “It’s the best!” As they emptied their dishes with brighter expressions than usual, I could feel that each meal was not just about food, but also a time of sharing our hearts.

Chairman Bang Jeong-hwan said, “The warmth of the holidays deepens when we share them together. I hope this rice cake soup will provide a little comfort and support to the children.”

The World Educational Cultural Aid will continue to provide warm sharing so that children can spend the holidays without being lonely.
