WECA Karakol Dream Choir recently had a meaningful time at a parent seminar held in conjunction with a school event. This event was designed as an opportunity to introduce the students' educational environment, cooperation with teachers, and overall club activities to parents, and choir activities were also shared as a key example.
On this day, the choir members performed three of the Korean songs they had been practicing on stage, showing their growth through music. Although there was not enough time to perform many songs due to the event schedule, the children sang with concentration even on the short stage and received warm applause from the audience. Currently, the choir is putting more effort into practice, preparing ‘Spring in My Hometown’ and ‘Five Fingered Pretty Words’ for the next stage.
“Music is an important language through which children gain confidence and communicate with the world,” said Bang Jeong-hwan, chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid. “The sight of the Karakol Dream Choir singing on stage is a scene that shows how education and culture change children’s lives.” He added, “We will continue to provide consistent support to children so that they can grow and express their dreams.”
WECA plans to continue to support music education and stage experience so that the Karakol Dream Choir can communicate with the local community and grow.
