News from WECA Tondo Language School in the Philippines.
After the fire in August, electricity was cut off for over two months, so classes could not be held, but on October 15th, electricity lines were installed, and the light of hope was turned on again.
During the two months that there was no electricity, classes had to stop when it got dark, so classes were held only once a week. Now, children can learn and laugh freely in a bright classroom rather than in the dark.
Through its emotional support project, the World Educational Cultural Aid plans to deliver school supplies and daily necessities to children affected by fires and support various cultural experience programs for children who have not experienced cultural life.
Bang Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid, said, “I hope that the light of hope will spread brightly in the hearts of children under the lights that are turned on again,” and strongly supported the future of Tondo children.
A small electric fire helps children learn and laugh. We ask for your continued interest for the future of Tondo children.
