This is news from Laos WECA Sawannakhet Elim School.
Currently, a total of 68 students in grades 3 to 5 are taking Korean language classes at Sawannakhet Elim School. Children are learning the 7 consonants (ㅇ, ㅈ, ㅊ, ㅋ, ㅌ, ㅍ, ㅎ) and learning basic conversation skills. The sound of children's laughter spread throughout the classroom. The children drew letters in the air, imitated the pronunciation, pointed to objects in the classroom, and stuttered in Korean.
Bang Jeong-hwan, chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid, said, “Learning a language is learning about the world,” and added, “I hope that children will gain confidence and advance into a wider world through Hangul.” It is thanks to our sponsors’ warm sharing that children can learn to their heart’s content. We ask for your continued interest and support so that Laos children can continue to express their dreams and learn about the world!
