This is news about the Tanzania Albino Association’s support for UV protection items.

Albino is a congenital disease that occurs when the body's melanocytes fail to synthesize melanin. In Tanzania, albinism occurs at a high rate of 1 in 1,400. For white-skinned black albino patients, the sunny weather in Africa is extremely poisonous. Additionally, there is a widespread superstition that having a body part will bring good luck, and it is said that terrible incidents occur every year.

The World Educational Cultural Aid provided sunscreen and UV-blocking glasses to children through the Albino Association of Tanzania. We hope that children who live their whole lives with false superstitions and the risk of skin diseases can confidently go outside, improve social awareness throughout Africa, and grow into confident adults.
