Delivering COVID-19 prevention kits to vulnerable children in Daegu.

As the COVID-19 virus spreads, people across the country are going through times of uncertainty in their daily lives. Wearing a mask, which has become an essential part of basic etiquette, is not only soaring in price, but a 5-day purchasing system has been implemented. However, the solution is meaningless, and masks are not available at each pharmacy, forcing people to turn around again.

In particular, the Daegu area is an area that has been greatly affected by the coronavirus. Due to self-quarantine, the streets were deserted and stores that were crowded with customers were temporarily closed or closed. The situation of vulnerable groups is only getting worse. Most vulnerable groups are in an environment where they cannot properly manage their health, so they are more at risk of becoming infected with the coronavirus. Children who are vulnerable to viruses often find it difficult to eat even one meal a day and cannot even think about purchasing masks or sanitary products.

WECA, the World Educational Cultural Aid, produced and supported emergency relief COVID-19 prevention kits for vulnerable children in the Daegu area who are facing such difficulties.

With the money carefully raised by sponsors through the Naver Happy Bean fundraising platform, we visited vulnerable children in Daegu Regional Children's Centers such as Daegu Seo-gu Dreaming Area Children's Center, Naedang Area Children's Center, and Injae Area Children's Center and provided hygiene prevention kits, including 1,300 masks, 130 hand sanitizers, 130 hand sanitizers, and 130 wet wipes.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, parents who were having a hard time not only worrying about their livelihoods but also being unable to follow socially essential hygiene standards expressed their gratitude for sending us essential items.
