We bring you news about ‘WECA Women’s With Home’, which provides a warm environment for 60 high school female students dreaming of their future in Gwanguasi, Ethiopia.
This is a base of hope that goes beyond simple lodging and provides computer job training and awareness education to help girls grow into confident members of society.
On the last Hygiene Day, With Home held a special time to fill children's bodies and minds with health.
This training was conducted with the participation of With Home female students and students from nearby Dilla High School.
An in-depth discussion followed, not only about how to maintain hygiene, which is essential in daily life, but also about how to lead a leading life with self-consciousness as a woman in Ethiopian society.
In particular, through the Q&A session where questions related to sex that were usually difficult to ask were freely shared, the children had a beneficial experience in establishing correct values for valuing and protecting their own bodies.
After the training, the class ended on a warm note by sharing helpful hygiene products and carefully prepared refreshments with the female students.
For the girls, who were separated from their families and had concerns that were difficult to handle on their own, this education was like a precious gift that went beyond simply imparting knowledge and allowed them to feel the power of emotional support and solidarity.
The World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) will provide strong support so that girls in Gwangwa can design their own future based on a healthy body and confident self.
We ask for your continued support for the future of children who do not lose their dreams and focus on their studies even in difficult environments.
“When girls confidently defend their rights and health, the future of society becomes brighter.
We hope that Ethiopian female students will grow up healthy both physically and mentally within the safe environment of With Home, and WECA will spare no effort in supporting the children’s independence and growth.”
—Bang Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid
