[Domestic News] Happy Bean News on winter coat support for domestic ch…

Domestic 2022. 03. 12 17:58

  • A body that has grown significantly, a coat that has become smaller
In winter, children go to school wearing thick, warm coats out of fear of catching a cold. At times like these, children from underprivileged families feel small for some reason. This is because, due to difficult circumstances, the only coat has been worn for a long time and has become thin and shabby, unable to protect against the cold. There were friends who made fun of me because my coat had become smaller compared to my grown body. However, it is not easy for underprivileged families who are struggling to make ends meet to buy a coat to accommodate their child's growth.
  • A warm coat gift to overcome the -10 degree cold wave
The World Educational Cultural Aid wanted to protect the bodies and minds of vulnerable children from being hurt in the bitter cold that drops by -10 degrees Celsius. Happy Bean sponsors sympathized with that sentiment and donated 2,865,900 won. The funds raised were delivered as warm padding to about 10 children through the Yangcheon-gu Multicultural Family Support Center. On the day the padding was delivered, the children were surprised to see the coats in a large envelope. It is not the same padding, but padding with different colors and shapes. Before delivery, we received gender and age information in advance and our staff carefully selected each item one by one. He shyly tried on the padding and seemed to like it because it was warm and light, so he smiled brightly and made a V in front of the camera.
  • Children's winter becomes happier with warm coats
Children who received well-fitting, warm coats are no longer afraid of their friends' teasing or the bitter cold. Wearing the padding that the sponsor bought with all his heart, I happily wrote a letter and sent it to him. Among them was a letter written by a mother who was not familiar with Korean. This family said that they had to spend two weeks' worth of living expenses to buy one coat for their child, and that they liked the padding they received as a gift so much that they kept it next to their child when they slept. For some people, it is a coat they can buy at any time, but for underprivileged children, it is a coat they desperately want. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Happy Bean sponsors who provided warm coats and support to the children.
