Everyone has the right to education.

“Everyone has the right to education”

So precious children who are living lives like beasts...

Of the 650 million children of primary school age around the world, 250 million do not receive basic education in reading, writing, and counting. Of these, nearly 120 million have never attended primary school or received less than fourth grade. The remaining 130 million students are enrolled in elementary school, but are below the minimum academic achievement level.

Education leads to a healthy life!

Education is not simply a matter of reading and writing; it is a matter directly related to life. As of 2012, the number of deaths among children under the age of 6 in underdeveloped countries was a whopping 5.7 million. That's a huge number. However, if all women received elementary education, the lives of 900,000 children could be saved, and if all women received secondary education, the lives of 2.8 million precious children could be saved.

Children come to school even in African slums where there is little drinking water and in conflict-ridden countries where artillery shells are raining down on them. This is because of the belief that education can change lives. The World Education Forum was started in 1990 to make children's beliefs come true.

The World Education Forum is the world's largest education conference. The World Education Forum held this year is the third meeting of the global basic education movement 'Education for All' and is an opportunity to set new educational goals to be shared by the world for the next 15 years.

The ‘World Education Forum (WEF)’, the largest international event in the field of education, was held in Incheon from May 19 to 22 under the slogan ‘Change in life through education.’ Global leaders and education experts, including UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, attended this forum to discuss the future of global education.

Education is a right, not a privilege

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who gave the opening speech on the 19th, emphasized the importance of education by saying, "Studies have shown that every dollar invested in education has an effect of $15 in economic income. I believe that 175 million people in low-income countries will be able to eradicate poverty if they learn basic reading skills. Education is not a privilege, but a right."

What is education for all?

‘Education for All’, a global movement to spread basic education created through the World Education Forum, was launched to guarantee basic education to all people. It was launched through the ‘World Conference on Education for All’ held in Thailand in 1990, and at the World Education Forum in Senegal in 2000, an agenda of six goals for the Education for All movement to be achieved by 2015 was set.

1. Expansion and improvement of infant care and education’

2. Universalization of free and compulsory high-quality elementary education

3. Ensuring the learning needs of all youth and adults

4. Increase adult literacy rate by 50%

5. Achieving gender equality in education

World Educational Cultural AidWWhat is education at ECA?

- The best way to eradicate poverty and poverty!

WECA, the World Educational Cultural Aid, was established in July 2006 by its founder, Dr. Jaesik Oh, to improve the poor educational and cultural environment in underdeveloped countries.

As emphasized in this forum, WECA, the World Educational Cultural Aid, has worked hard to provide educational opportunities for all children under the slogan, “The best way to eradicate poverty is through education.”

Education can be a powerful tool to stop the vicious cycle of inequality and poverty. Education is a key way to help people escape poverty and prevent its transmission. It also allows formal workers to earn higher wages and provides a better life for those engaged in informal work in rural and urban areas.

WECA, the World Educational Cultural Aid, will do its best to help precious children escape from the burdensome life, study to their heart's content and achieve their dreams based on the experience and beliefs accumulated so far.
