At Myanmar Seed Language Institute (Korean Language Institute) supported by World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) Hopeful Opening Ceremony, the children's learning center has opened in earnest. 0);">This Korean language school began operating in July 2026 for 35 children from poor environments living in informal settlements (shantytowns) in Yangon.

Through the opening ceremony, we carefully inspected the educational operation status and learning environment and laid the foundation for children to learn with confidence.

What caught the most attention at this opening ceremony was the special story of the teachers who will teach the children.

Two graduates from Yangon University of Foreign Studies were hired as Korean language teachers to conduct classes based on local experts, including The story of teacher ‘Lin Phi’ conveys a deep resonance.

Linpi teacher in the past He was a child from WECA With Home. He grew up with the warm love and support of sponsoring members.

As a result of his continuous efforts to learn, he entered Yangon University of Foreign Studies as a scholarship student, and has now grown into a talented person, teaching Myanmar children in similar environments to himself. I came back as a teacher teaching Korean.

A child receiving support grew into an educator who leads the community, directly demonstrating the ‘beautiful virtuous cycle’ of sharing love.

Adopted together Teacher Pes Kyu He is also an excellent talent who holds the highest level of TOPIK, and leads professional classes based on his high level of Korean language skills.

In this way, by training and utilizing excellent local talent as teachers, we have further solidified the expertise of Korean language education in Myanmar and the foundation for sustainable education operation.

We ask for the continued interest and warm support of our sponsors so that more children in Myanmar, like Teacher Linpi, can study without giving in to environmental constraints and grow into valuable talents who will convey hope to other children in the future.

"The child who was helped grows up and returns to other children. The virtuous cycle of imparting learning is the most beautiful miracle that educational support can create.

WECA will continue to spare no effort in supporting sustainable education so that Myanmar children can grow up to be confident leaders of tomorrow without losing their dreams."

— Chairman Bang Jeong-hwan of the World Educational Cultural Aid
