On October 29, a landslide occurred in the Mayaveda area of Koslanda, Sri Lanka, causing hundreds of casualties and damaging hundreds of houses. Due to this damage, many children were unable to go to school. In particular, children who cannot afford school supplies due to difficult circumstances are in a position to drop out of school.
So we headed to Sri Lanka on November 20th, World Children's Day, to bring hope to children affected by landslides. We first met the children at the emergency shelter SRI gamesha TAMIL school, 2 kilometers from the landslide site. Less than a month had passed since the landslide occurred, and the children's faces were filled with fear, anxiety, and despair.

We asked these children only one thing. “Even if you have a difficult day, never let go of the book and pen in your hands. That book and pen will become your dreams and hope.”
WECA, the World Educational Cultural Aid, will always support and support children who want to go to school and study at school through an education support campaign so that they do not put down their books and pens no matter what difficulties they face. Although it is important to fill the stomachs of children living through difficult times in a land of absolute poverty, education is the only answer to escape the vicious cycle of poverty.
Please join us in delivering hope to children who have suffered indescribable wounds with WECA, the World Educational Cultural Aid!
