We gave masks and school supplies to children who were struggling during the pandemic.
Quarantine supplies that were so desperately needed by vulnerable children. It's already been two years since I wore a mask due to COVID-19. Children from vulnerable groups, such as low-income families and single-parent families, have received mask support through various organizations such as local children's centers, schools, and community centers. Families who have to support their entire family with basic living expenses must receive support with masks and hand sanitizers so that their children can attend school and receive meals at local children's centers. However, without the help of institutions and organizations, children were sometimes hurt in the unstable situation where they had to stay at home and not be able to go to school because they did not have masks.
Comforting children who had a hard time due to social care gaps
In particular, due to the spread of Omicron this year, children from vulnerable families had to go through an even more difficult time due to temporary closures of local children's centers and institutions and social care gaps. The World Educational Cultural Aid has decided to provide masks and school supplies to children who are in the blind spot of welfare so that they do not get hurt. We prepared 1,000 masks that perfectly fit the faces of young children, as well as 50 school supplies such as sketchbooks and reading books. The cost of support was covered by the World Educational Cultural Aid's own funds and 360,600 won generously raised by Happy Bean sponsors.
Shake off your discouraged mind and dream of a bright and hopeful tomorrow.
The prepared masks and school supplies were delivered to about 30 children from low-income families and single-parent families in Yeongwol-gun who are highly dependent on local children's centers. Children who had been somewhat discouraged and isolated due to the pandemic showed bright expressions after receiving an armful of special gifts. Thanks to the warm hands extended by the World Educational Cultural Aid and Happy Bean sponsors, the underprivileged children of Yeongwol-gun were able to shake off their depressed mood and approach a more positive future.
