Review

On June 30, the World Educational Cultural Aid held an intercultural academic conference together with the Multicultural Research Institute of Ewha Womans University. This academic conference was hosted by the World Educational Cultural Aid to improve and spread awareness of the diverse cultures, and it started off lively with a congratulatory speech by Chairman Bang Jeong-hwan (Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid).

 The theme of the conference was the life and child rearing of married immigrants who returned to Vietnam after divorce. Presentations and discussions were held based on the situation in which returning Vietnamese women face considerable difficulties and their children need academic help and appropriate financial and educational support. 

The passionate content of Professor Jeong Jin-seong (Professor Emeritus of Seoul National University, UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination), Professor Shin Jin-ho (Ph.D. graduate of Seoul National University), Center Director Kim Young-shin (Director of the Korea-Vietnam Cultural Exchange Center), and Seo Ji-an (Yongsan Multicultural Family Support Center), who were in charge of the presentations and discussions at this conference, contributed to good study and better development for the participants. In addition, Professor Han-eop Jang (Director of the Multicultural Research Institute at Ewha Womans University), who served as moderator, did a great job leading the conference for mutual cultural development. We sincerely thank all the participants who joined us.
