(1st emergency relief news)

An emergency relief team from WECA, the World Educational Cultural Aid, was dispatched to victims of the Turkiye Syria earthquake.

In the early morning of February 6th, an unprecedented magnitude 7.8 earthquake occurred in the border area of Turkiye and Syria, causing thousands of buildings to collapse and nearly 50,000 deaths to date.

In addition, efforts to rescue lives and provide supplies to victims are continuing in dangerous sites where aftershocks continue to occur.

After hearing this tragic news, the World Educational Cultural Aid quickly connected with overseas branches to investigate relief methods, and thanks to its quick action, it was able to deliver relief goods to the victims of Türkiye.

Currently, an emergency relief team from WECA, the World Educational Cultural Aid, has been dispatched to inspect the scene and help the victims. As soon as we can contact you, we will update you with the latest news and convey the situation on the ground.

We sincerely thank you for always supporting the World Educational Cultural Aid, and we promise to do our best to support the earthquake victims.

(2nd emergency relief news)

The emergency relief team arrived in Turkiye after a long flight of over 12 hours.

However, I am constantly moving my body because I worry about the victims who are suffering. We loaded the car with a lot of relief goods, including sugar, pasta noodles, eggs, snacks, toilet paper, sanitary pads, diapers, wet tissues, borgol (rice, porridge), blankets, and tents, and delivered them directly to the victims. The victims who received the relief goods expressed their gratitude, saying that their worries were relieved. The children had nothing to play with, so they played with the relief supplies box and were delighted with the delicious snacks and other ingredients. Today, we distributed relief goods to victims in the Şanliurfa area. The WECA Emergency Relief Team, the World Educational Cultural Aid, plans to move to other cities in Türkiye that need help as the sun sets. We will work hard to ensure that the livelihoods of the victims are stabilized as soon as possible.

(3rd emergency relief news)

The World Educational Cultural Aid emergency relief team arrived in the Kahramanmarash region. We toured large tent villages in the area to identify supplies needed and plan support.

We plan to prepare a large amount of support for children in tent villages who have lost their smiles, including balls and other toys, children's shoes, new clothes to replace the torn and worn-out clothes of the victims, and women's underwear.

Here, in the Kahramanmarashi tent camp, thousands of victims are providing lodging and food. Although helping hands are being offered all over the world, there are still many places that cannot be reached.

The World Educational Cultural Aid Emergency Relief Team will prepare relief supplies as soon as possible and quickly deliver them to those in need.

(4th emergency relief news)

4-1. Currently, emergency relief teams are continuing relief activities by traveling to each tent village. The tent village in the third news is a tent village formed around a large park. The emergency relief team provided educational supplies for children in the park's tent camp and went out of their way to deliver food kits to the tent camp. The emergency relief team delivered 200 boxes of remaining food kits to the relief supply center and purchased about 150 pairs of children's sneakers and 300 sets of women's underwear from a large store in Gaziantep. This is relief goods to be provided to large tent villages and stadium tent villages where more than 2,000 people live.

4-2. The emergency relief team, which safely delivered relief goods to the stadium tent city under the control of government officials, delivered food and other relief items to students at Nejipfazl Ksakyurek Elementary School. The next destination is Adiyaman region. Before moving on, the emergency relief team once again went to Gaziantep and purchased about 300 pairs of children's sneakers. Due to the current earthquake, many stores in Gaziantep were not open, so it was difficult to purchase, but at the store I managed to find, the store manager who heard about the relief from the World Educational Cultural Aid reduced the price partially, saying that he would show his support. It was a moment of great reward during a long period of relief work.

As relief efforts continue for more than a week, the victims of Türkiye are able to have hope thanks to your warm hearts with the World Educational Cultural Aid. The emergency relief team will also take the lead without getting tired thanks to your expectations. We ask for your continued interest.

(5th emergency relief news)

An emergency relief team that moves non-stop even on holidays.

The emergency relief team of the World Educational Cultural Aid provided about 100 pairs of shoes each to the Zlpakar Ilmas Tent Village and the Adiyaman Industrial Complex Warehouse. This tent village is in a very poor environment with little support from the government, so it is not equipped with relief supplies or amenities. It was determined that there was a continuous need for supplies, so support was provided immediately.

Additionally, Adiyaman is an area where the scale of damage is large but demolition work is slow. There were still many buildings left collapsed and significant damage could occur if another aftershock occurs. We provided support because it was expected that the tent victims of the Adiyaman region would have to live longer.

Emergency relief teams are continuously moving and providing relief supplies without a single moment of rest. In addition, beyond simply providing relief goods, we are planning education and cultural support projects to help victims heal their mental wounds and restore their daily lives as soon as possible.

There is still much we can do. Please give your precious heart to the victims of the earthquake. The World Educational Cultural Aid will do its best until the end to help the victims of Turkiye Syria get back on their feet.
