[Overseas] Kenya WECA Zion Kindergarten construction news

Overseas 2023. 04. 10 13:29

This is news about the construction of WECA Zion Kindergarten in Kenya.

The Maasai tribe, one of about 50 tribes in Kenya, is said to have adopted civilization later than other tribes, resulting in high illiteracy and a low level of education. The Kenyan government is actively embracing civilization and encouraging participation in education, but it is difficult to receive a stable education due to poverty.

In Namanga Engaboli, where WECA Zion Kindergarten is being built, most of the residents are Maasai. The distance between schools here was so long that children had to walk 10km to school through an area infested with ferocious wild animals. Because of this, a small classroom was prepared next to the church, but the space is so small that some children have to take classes under the shade of the trees next to the building, which is said to be a poor environment.

After hearing this news, the World Educational Cultural Aid built a strong kindergarten for Maasai children in Kenya who were having difficulties in education. We hope that children will receive quality education without worry at the newly built WECA Zion Kindergarten.

WECA, the World Educational Cultural Aid, will continue to do its best to support education and culture for children at home and abroad. We ask for your generous support for the Maasai children of Kenya.
