News from WECA Language School in Tondo, Philippines.
In mid-February, the World Educational Cultural Aid visiting team visited the WECA Language School in Tondo Garbage Village, Philippines. To encourage children to study hard, we directly delivered school supplies and provided free meals to fill their stomachs.
Tondo Garbage Village was a very poor environment with a foul odor and garbage strewn about everywhere. It seemed as if people were forced to build a house in an uninhabitable remote area. Dirty and torn clothes, hair that was caked from not being washed, and bare feet covered in scars. Despite these difficulties, the children's eyes sparkled.
Most residents here spend their lives sorting and collecting waste. Proper education is their only hope for finding employment and escaping poverty. With a donation of 10,000 won per month, you can provide education expenses and school supplies for independence to 3 children, and with a donation of 20,000 won per month, you can provide free meals to 10 children twice a week. We ask our sponsors to share warmly with us for those who are struggling because they cannot learn.
