On November 9th, a special K-POP dance contest was finally held for married immigrants and their children! Marriage immigrant families showed off their dancing skills they had been practicing hard on stage. It was truly touching and warm to see them synchronizing their steps together and giving their bodies to the exciting music.
The K-POP dance class ‘Dance On’ was started to help marriage immigrants and their children better adapt to Korea and provide an opportunity for them to become closer to their children.
Although they started out with awkward gestures, the participants said they felt proud as they saw themselves grow to the point of completing a song over time. What a great change it is to now be able to go on stage and perform in front of the public. In particular, I felt very grateful and moved by being able to dance with my family on stage.
This contest was a meaningful event that gave confidence to the participants and great emotion to the audience. We will continue to carry out diverse projects for families of marriage immigrants. We ask for your continued interest.
