“Dance On,” a K-POP dance class for marriage immigrants and their children, was started to help marriage immigrants adapt to Korean culture more easily through Korea’s K-pop culture and to improve their relationships with their children through dance.
Through dancing, we increased communication and gradually came to understand our children. As my dancing skills improve, my relationships with my children also improve. In addition, this program serves as a place of communication where marriage immigrants who are experiencing various difficulties in life in Korea, as well as their relationships with their children, can empathize with each other and relieve loneliness.
The DanceOn contest will be held in November. Immigrants and their children, who were clumsy at first, are now learning to dance with joy and are actively preparing for the contest. We ask for your continued interest and support in the stories and news that immigrants and their children create through dance. Please join us in supporting their journey.
