We had a special time with children from North Korean defector families at the Green Hair Library! This is the ‘Soap Making Campaign’. The children, who were unfamiliar at first, gradually started smiling and made the soap with great care, piece by piece.
WECA Supporters Sein Kim also participated in this campaign, making it an even more meaningful time. The children also naturally learned that a small piece of soap held in their hands could give someone a clean day and warm cheer.
The children who completed the soap looked hopeful and said, “I think it would be a good gift to give to my friends!” The library teacher also said, “It was great that the children could learn together,” and hoped that there would be more programs like this in the future.
WECA plans to continue warm sharing with more children starting with this campaign! We ask for your continued interest and support so that a small piece of hand-made soap can change the world to a cleaner and warmer place.
