At WECA Raon Korean Language Institute located in Karakol, Kyrgyzstan, seven students are consistently learning Korean and having fun. In this class, we practiced making sentences by learning grammatical expressions such as ‘-(ugh)ㄹ’ and ‘-(ugh)’, focusing on Lesson 4 of the textbook. The students were unfamiliar with sentence patterns at first, but learned them naturally through example sentences and gradually began speaking with confidence.
We also learned vocabulary related to school life, such as ‘attend, be absent, leave early, come to school, be late, graduate’ and practice how to use Korean in real situations. Through familiar topics such as “school time,” “recess time,” and “lunch time,” students broadened their communication by talking about each other’s daily lives in Korean.
Students at Raon Korean Language Institute are improving their Korean language skills by learning new expressions every hour. The World Educational Cultural Aid will continue to support Kyrgyz children so that they can encounter the wider world through language and continue the joy of learning.
