The World Educational Cultural Aid is conducting the ‘Serenade of the Violin’ program for children at local children’s centers who have little opportunity to experience culture and arts. This education is not just a simple instrument lesson, but a journey of growth where children learn to express themselves and communicate with the world through music.
In a recent class, we practiced ‘legato’, which involves playing notes smoothly. The children focused on maintaining the sense of connection and expression of sound, and developed patience and delicacy in the process of adjusting the tone at every moment. Although he had difficulty with unfamiliar movements, his sincerity and growth toward music were seen in the way he did not give up and practiced until the end.
Chairman Bang Jeong-hwan expressed his gratitude, saying, “The moment they turn on a small string, children create their own world. Your support is the beautiful first note.”
The World Educational Cultural Aid will continue to work with children to discover their dreams through culture and arts and to make those dreams a reality.
