[Overseas] Cambodia Phnom Penh WECA Beungchuk Hebron study room & libr…

Overseas 2026. 01. 14 10:27

At the Hebron Study Room & Library in the Beongchuk area of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, a total of 30 children from 1st to 5th grade participate in classes divided into morning and afternoon classes. Children continue to have opportunities to learn through basic subjects such as Khmae, English, and math, as well as special activity classes.

To celebrate Christmas, the study room delivered small gifts to children and also shared blankets provided through an external organization. For children living in economically difficult environments, this Christmas was a time when they could feel warm hearts for the first time in a long time, and the children smiled brightly while holding gifts.

We also visited families in difficult circumstances, talked to them, and offered comfort and encouragement to children and their guardians. In a situation where many families are experiencing difficulties in raising children and making a living, study rooms are becoming a valuable space for children not only to learn but also to rely on emotionally.

Chairman Bang Jeong-hwan said, “The experience of children learning and being protected in a stable space is a great help in itself. I hope that the study room will strengthen the children’s daily lives even a little.”

The World Educational Cultural Aid will continue to provide educational support with the Hebron Study Room so that Cambodian children can grow healthily without missing out on learning opportunities.
