[Domestic] News on improving the residential environment of group home…

Domestic 2026. 02. 04 10:40

A warm change has come to the group home where the cold wind seeped through the old exterior walls.

The World Educational Cultural Aid carried out a project to improve the living environment in group homes after hearing stories from the field that children were living in an environment where they were huddled together in the cold weather and had difficulty concentrating. Through this project, we carried out construction on old and damaged exterior walls and improved the environment so that children can live and study in a warmer and safer space.

After the exterior wall construction was completed, the children's living space changed noticeably. The wall through which the cold air seeped in was firmly reinforced, and the children were no longer worried about the cold and were able to focus on their daily lives and learning. At the site, it was said that “the children are living their lives with a much more stable expression,” and we were able to see how their minds also eased as the space changed.

Bang Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid

“The residential environment is the most basic foundation that supports children’s days and minds. I believe that this exterior wall construction is not just about repairs, but about giving children back the time they need to grow and learn in peace,” he said. “The hearts of each and every sponsor are creating a warm home for the children.”

This improvement in the living environment conveyed meaning to the children beyond a ‘cold house’. A night where you can sleep without worries, study time where you can focus, and a day where you can cherish yourself. The World Educational Cultural Aid will continue to watch the lives of children from a close perspective and responsibly make necessary changes.
