The World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) recently received a donation of clothing for all seasons worth approximately 1.4 billion won from Daiwa Korea (CEO Choi Hak-mo). This donation, which includes various seasonal items such as jackets, T-shirts, and pants, will be warmly delivered to underprivileged children and communities in need overseas through WECA.
Daiwa Korea goes beyond being a simple fishing goods company and has continued to engage in social contribution activities with the goal of creating a sustainable culture where people and nature coexist. Last year, we donated approximately 100 million won worth of clothing, and this sharing also reflects the company's sincerity toward “the direction in which the world lives together.”
An official from Daiwa Korea said, “We hope that the ‘together fishing culture’ that Daiwa dreams of will spread throughout society,” and added, “We will continue to carry out various sharing activities in harmony with the local community.”
Chairman Bang Jeong-hwan expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thanks to this great sharing, many children at home and abroad have been able to stay warm. The sponsor's heart is the greatest gift that gives hope to children."
The World Educational Cultural Aid will continue to work with companies to create a sustainable social contribution model and responsibly deliver much-needed support to our neighbors in need.
