[Overseas] Uganda WECA Kasanda WEFC soccer team news

Overseas 2026. 03. 25 09:26

A large playground in Kasanda, Uganda, is home to the WEFC soccer team, filled with children's dreams and passion.

Children who dreamed of becoming athletes by playing with balls made from trash are now proudly running on the field wearing soccer uniforms and soccer shoes supported by the World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA).

Our WEFC children are working hard to reach even greater heights.

Recent training focused on improving each player's skills.

By learning how to handle the ball and exchanging accurate passes, the children solidified the basics to become professional players beyond just a hobby.

As the children's skills improve noticeably as they continue to train, their confidence is also growing.

In addition, intense physical training followed in order to compete until the end of the game.

It was an arduous time that took my breath away, but I overcame my limitations by working together with my colleagues.

It was a valuable time to gain not only physical health but also valuable mental assets such as cooperation and patience through sports.

Bang Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid, said, "Children's dreams contained in a single soccer ball are never light. I hope that the spirit of challenge learned while playing freely on the wide lawn will become a light that brightens the children's future."

In the future, the World Educational Cultural Aid will continue to provide support and encouragement to the children of WEFC in Kasanda, Uganda, so that they can grow up healthy and brightly regardless of their environment.
