Good news has been delivered to the Zinga region of Tanzania. Children at Zinga Elementary School, who had been studying in an underdeveloped environment for a long time, now have clean classrooms and safe drinking water.
The World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) successfully completed the classroom remodeling project, which was carried out from February 2 to March 14, and held a meaningful completion ceremony on March 17.
The existing classrooms at Zinga Elementary School, built in 1974, were old and dilapidated, making normal classes almost impossible. Through this remodeling project, two classrooms and extra space that were difficult to use were completely demolished, leaving only the central wall.
In its place, two modern classrooms where children can study safely and comfortably and a new teacher's office were created.
In particular, the completion and handover ceremony held on March 17 added to the joy by not only remodeling the classrooms, but also excavating wells and installing water supply facilities to ensure the children's health.
Now, children can no longer focus on their studies and pursue their dreams in a comfortable environment, without worrying about the dangers of old classrooms or muddy water.
Bang Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid, said, "The newly renovated classrooms and clean water go beyond simple facility support, and give the children of Zinga Elementary School hope for the future and wider opportunities. I hope that the children here will dream bigger dreams and grow into talented people who will lead Tanzania."
The World Educational Cultural Aid will continue to improve the educational environment so that all children around the world can enjoy equal educational opportunities and grow healthily.
