At the World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) Language School located in Ho Chi Minh City and Can Gio, Vietnam, English conversation classes are actively being held to help children advance into the wider world.
At the language school located in District 4 of Ho Chi Minh City, English conversation classes were held under the guidance of a teacher. This day's class dealt with the theme of 'Common places' that we can easily encounter around us. The five students learned the names of places frequently used in real life and increased their familiarity with English by using them in conversations. The children had fun expressing the places they wanted to go in English.
The enthusiasm for learning was also high at Can Gio Language School. In the Elementary class with Teacher Eon, the class was taught under the interesting topic of ‘Planets in the Solar System.’ Six students had time to learn new vocabulary about the vast universe and the names of the planets and use them in sentences to present them. Although the Pre-Intermediate class was canceled due to student circumstances, we were able to catch a glimpse of the bright future in the bright eyes of the children who were sincere about learning.
Learning a language is like holding in your hands a precious key that will allow children to design their bigger dreams.
The World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) will continue to support quality language education programs tailored to the local educational environment so that children in underprivileged areas can overcome language barriers and grow into talented people who can communicate with the world.
“We find hope for our society in the images of children learning a new language and dreaming of space. WECA will be a strong companion so that children at Vietnam Language School can experience a wider world through English and plan their future with confidence.”
— Bang Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid
