[Overseas] Ethiopia WECA Pavilion and Future Star School Taekwondo Cla…

Overseas 2026. 03. 06 10:10

A meaningful promotion test was held at the Ethiopia Pavilion and the Future Star School Taekwondo classroom. Out of a total of 21 students, including 9 4th graders and 12 5th graders from Gwanwa Elementary School, 17 attended and had time to check the skills they had honed.

On the 27th, final practice was conducted focusing on basic movements, kicks, and Taegeuk 5, and on the 28th, Master Baek Seung-il visited and the full-scale promotion test was held. Despite the tension, the children continued their movements calmly, and as a result, 16 people, except one, earned more than 70 points and became eligible for promotion. The moment they put on their blue belts, the children's faces were filled with joy at the fruits of their efforts.

Taekwondo classes go beyond simple technical training and are a time to learn the values of courtesy, patience, and self-discipline. After the test, we reviewed the basic knowledge of Taekwondo and shared advice on how to practice more consistently in the future.

Chairman Bang Jeong-hwan said, "The changing color of the zodiac sign means that the children's mindset and attitude have grown together. I hope that the concentration and patience learned through Taekwondo will become strong assets throughout the children's lives."

The World Educational Cultural Aid will continue to provide support to children through Taekwondo classes so that they can develop good character as well as physical growth.
