[Overseas] Korean Language Institute at WECA JOYFUL Center in Almaty, …

Overseas 2026. 04. 29 10:39

Located in Almaty, KazakhstanJOYFUL CENTEREvery day, children who dream of a wider world through Korean continue to learn.

Recently, Almaty has been experiencing cool weather as if winter has arrived again, with strong winds and pouring rain.

Even in the inclement weather, I could feel the children's enthusiasm for Korean language education.

It is a time when we need to be careful about our health, as chickenpox is rampant among children due to the large daily temperature difference and unpredictable weather.

The children's steps toward learning did not stop.

A total of 40 students participated in the class, which was divided into morning and afternoon, and learned how to write verb sentences, learn consonants (ㅁ, ㅇ), and learn verb sentences according to their level.

And I devoted myself to learning basic grammar such as ‘-and (together)’.

In particular, in this class, we focused on strengthening the basics by repeatedly learning grammar that children find somewhat difficult.

The ‘small’ given by the teacherThere has also been a noticeable increase in the number of students recording their homework and sending it in.

Although their pronunciation is poor, the children's voices, as they carefully pronounce each letter, convey their sincerity toward the Korean language.

Thanks to these consistent efforts, it is expected that many students will be able to take the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) by the end of this year.

The World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) will carefully monitor Almaty's children so that they can focus on their studies in a pleasant environment without losing their health.

We will continue to provide educational support so that children can discover their potential and plan a greater future through the key to Korean.

“The voices of children reading books with great care and poor pronunciation give us the greatest emotion.

WECA will be a reliable companion so that Almaty students can communicate with the wider world through Korean and confidently pursue their dreams.”

— Bang Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid
