Even in the harsh environment of Kasanda, Uganda, children's dreams are blooming on the ground.

On April 15th, WECA WE-School children held a friendly inter-school sports competition with nearby Brightway Middle School.

This event was designed to go beyond simply competing and provide children with a valuable opportunity to experience a new environment and unite through sports.

In an exciting friendly soccer game, We School children showed off the skills and passing styles they have been practicing.

We were able to see the children's greatly improved skills and confidence as they strengthened their teamwork by exchanging the ball with just a look in each other's eyes.

After a fierce battle, the game ended in a 2-2 draw, but regardless of victory or loss, the children encouraged each other and showed true sportsmanship.

For children, soccer is more than just a game, it is an important way to learn cooperation and grow emotionally.

Today's experiences learned by leaving a familiar space and competing with new friends will become the foundation for children to move forward into a wider world.

“The time spent running and sweating together over a single ball is an irreplaceable record of growth for children. WECA will be a strong supporter so that Ugandan children can learn the value of cooperation through soccer and run energetically toward a brighter tomorrow.”

The World Educational Cultural Aid will continue to provide field-oriented education and facility improvement activities so that children can pursue their dreams with a healthy body and mind.
