The World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) received a donation of clothing for all seasons worth approximately 1.4 billion won from Daiwa Korea (CEO Choi Hak-mo). This donation consists of various seasonal items such as jackets, T-shirts, and pants, and will be delivered to vulnerable groups overseas and communities in need through WECA.

Daiwa Korea goes beyond a simple fishing gear manufacturing company and has consistently strived to protect the environment and contribute to society by pursuing a sustainable fishing culture where people and nature coexist. Previously, in December of last year, about 100 million won worth of clothing was donated through the Giving Plus Foundation, and this donation is part of ongoing activities to spread a culture where society, nature, and business coexist.

An official from Daiwa Korea said, “Through this donation, we hope that the ‘together fishing culture’ that Daiwa pursues will spread throughout society,” and added, “We will continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibilities and continue various sharing activities that can coexist with the local community.”

Bang Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid, expressed his gratitude, saying, “The great sharing provided by Daiwa Korea will be a very practical help to the education of vulnerable groups at home and abroad. WECA will continue to create a sustainable social contribution model with companies and responsibly deliver the necessary support to our neighbors who need it most.”

Meanwhile, the World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) is an international non-profit organization that carries out various educational support activities for underprivileged children around the world. It is contributing to resolving global educational imbalance by spreading the culture of sharing and donation.
