[Beyond Post Reporter Kim Shin] The World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) announced that on September 1 and 4, it provided bottled water to the Gangneung region suffering from drought. Through this support, 44,800 bottles of 500ml bottled water were delivered to institutions and facilities with significant drinking water shortages, such as Gangneung City Hall, Gangneung Elementary School, and local children's centers and childcare facilities.
Currently, the Gangneung region is experiencing a serious drinking water shortage, with the water storage rate falling below 15% and limited water supply measures being implemented. The delivered bottled water will be distributed preferentially to families and educational sites where water support is difficult to reach.

WECA CEO Bang Jeong-hwan said, “Education can continue only when residents can live safely,” and added, “We hope that this support will be of some help to the local community and children.”
The World Educational Cultural Aid operates programs for children in educationally underprivileged areas around the world and is known as an international non-profit organization that takes the lead in spreading the culture of sharing and donation.
