[Global Epic Reporter Hwang Seong-su] On March 8, the World Educational Cultural Aid delivered Braille sanitary pads to the Korean Federation of the Blind.

The World Educational Cultural Aid delivered 500 sets of Braille sanitary pads raised through the Naver Happy Bean fundraiser to the Korea Federation of the Blind. The sanitary pad set consists of Braille sanitary pads of various sizes and will be provided to visually impaired female teenagers across the country who have difficulty distinguishing between sizes.

Although sanitary pads should be used by categorizing them according to the amount of menstrual blood, visually impaired women have difficulty categorizing sizes from the purchasing stage. Because of this, they are forced to purchase expensive large-capacity sanitary pads or receive help from those around them every time. 

Bang Jeong-hwan, Chairman of the World Educational Cultural Aid, said, “Braille sanitary pads must be universalized. Only then can our children grow up to be confident women without being hurt,” adding, “We will continue to support Braille sanitary pads to improve social awareness.”

In addition, Kim Young-il, president of the Korea Federation of the Blind, who attended the delivery ceremony, expressed his gratitude to the sponsors, saying, "Thank you for practicing beautiful sharing. We will deliver the sponsored women's products to children who really need them."

The World Educational Cultural Aid is an international relief non-profit organization that develops sponsorship programs for children in educational blind spots around the world, practices sharing so that those in need can live with hope, and is at the forefront of spreading a donation culture.
