About 30 executives and employees of the World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA, WECA) announced that they carried out the ‘Love Coal Sharing Volunteer Activity’ on November 27th.
We personally visited and delivered 3,000 briquettes to the underprivileged in Ant Village, Hongje-dong, located in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. An official from Ant Village said, “Due to COVID-19, briquette donations have decreased significantly compared to last year, so we were worried about how we would get through the winter, so we are grateful for the help.”
Executive Chairman Bang Jeong-hwan said, "I was worried about carrying out volunteer work due to COVID-19, but I decided to carry out sharing volunteer work for my neighbors who are living in more difficult times. During difficult times due to COVID-19, volunteering and sharing activities have decreased, causing more serious damage to the underprivileged. In order to help these people more, we plan to continue volunteering and sharing activities through fundraising activities such as finding good stores and large donors."
The World Educational Cultural Aid, a non-profit corporation under the Ministry of Education, is active in supporting education for the underprivileged and spreading a donation culture, and practices sharing through cultural exchange and cooperation with domestic and foreign organizations and institutions.
