On July 23, 2020, the international relief and development NGO World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) held a business agreement (MOU) with the social enterprise FILP (FILP) for support projects for the hearing impaired.
FLIP, a company that uses part of its profits to educate hearing-impaired florists, is a social enterprise that creates jobs through direct employment, and was selected as an excellent company with ‘social value’ among 1,500 startups in Gyeonggi-do in 2018.
Through this agreement, the World Educational Cultural Aid and Flip have agreed to support more specialized florist education for the hearing impaired, resolve awareness and prejudice against hearing impairment through social contribution activities, and pursue activities to lead to a society that respects each other.
Meanwhile, the World Educational Cultural Aid, an incorporated association, is an NGO under the Ministry of Education. It is active in supporting education for the underprivileged and spreading a donation culture, and practices sharing through cultural exchange and cooperation with domestic and foreign organizations and institutions.
