　The Jeonbuk Branch of the World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) (Jeonbuk Branch Director Choi Min-guk) visited the Songcheon 2-dong community center and donated 2 million won in scholarships and 10 heating tents.

　The World Educational Cultural Aid (Chairman Bang Jeong-hwan) is an organization that delivers hope for tomorrow to children in 30 countries around the world in accordance with its founding philosophy of nurturing talent and instilling the will for self-reliance through educational and cultural support in poor areas of the world.

In particular, this year, we are participating in creating a community where people live together by donating scholarships and heating tents to 10 children in Songcheon 2-dong who are experiencing difficulties due to the prolonged coronavirus pandemic.

　Dae-seon Jeong, head of Songcheon 2-dong, said, “We are grateful to the World Educational Cultural Aid (WECA) for practicing warm sharing at the end of the year when the lives of our neighbors in need are becoming lonely due to COVID-19 and the colder weather, and we will provide support where it is absolutely needed so that the good intentions can be conveyed well.”
