[Global Epic Reporter Seongsu Lee] World Educational & Cultural Aid announced that it carried out plogging volunteer activities around the Anyangcheon Trail and riverside in Geumcheon-gu on Monday the 13th to mark ‘World Environment Day’.
On this day, 15 executives and employees gathered at the vacant lot in front of Anyangcheon Stone Bridge to prepare for volunteer work and collected about 150 kg of recycling and trash through plogging in a 2km section. Secretary Chae Song-i, who participated in the event, said, “Through plogging, I saw that there was a lot of trash left on the road that I would normally pass by while taking a walk. I hope that by cleaning up that trash, we can create a clean walking trail.” He expressed his thoughts.
Chairman Bang Jeong-hwan expressed his opinion, saying, “The plogging campaign, which takes care of one’s health and protects the environment, was an opportunity to raise citizens’ awareness of the eradication of littering.” He added, “We will continue to carry out various volunteer activities through active cooperation not only with our employees, but also with public institutions and civic groups.”
The World Educational Cultural Aid is an international relief non-profit organization that develops sponsorship programs for children in educational blind spots around the world, practices sharing so that those in need can live with hope, and takes the lead in spreading the donation culture.
