Yuhan-Kimberly x World Educational Cultural Aid Hygiene Product Delivery Ceremony
[Beyond Post Reporter Kim Min-hyuk] On July 27, the World Educational Cultural Aid and Yuhan-Kimberly held a ceremony to deliver eco-friendly hygiene products to underprivileged children in Korea and local children's centers.
On this day, Yuhan-Kimberly sponsored goods worth 42 million won to domestic children, and the World Educational Cultural Aid completed delivery to approximately 6,000 people at 200 local children's centers in Korea.
Prior to the delivery ceremony, Yuhan-Kimberly launched the ‘Greener Product’ campaign on Naver Happy Bean from June 3 to 23 to commemorate World Environment Day. ‘Greener Product’ was a campaign to create healthy habits by participating in three missions, including planting trees, taking care of forests, and identifying goals for the global environment, and holding a special exhibition with products that minimize environmental footprints.
In particular, the exhibition's donation pledge was to donate 3% of the sales amount to restore forests damaged by forest fires and sponsor eco-friendly sanitary products for the underprivileged. The campaign ended successfully, with 129,017 participants. Various organizations participated in providing eco-friendly sanitary products according to donation pledges, and the World Educational Cultural Aid also delivered some eco-friendly sanitary products to local children's centers in Korea on July 27th.
The items sponsored by Yuhan-Kimberly consisted of Kleenex Eco Green wet tissues and LaNature sanitary pads made from sustainable raw materials, Silk Soft leg tissues made from recycled packaging materials, and Kleenex bubble hand wash made from sustainable containers.
The 200 local children's centers that received support were able to improve the convenience of underprivileged children by receiving sanitary products essential for center operation. In addition, he repeatedly expressed his gratitude, saying that using eco-friendly sanitary products gave the children an opportunity to think about good consumption and the global environment. The children who attended the delivery ceremony opened the sanitary products that arrived, excitedly posed with the products, and took commemorative photos.
At the delivery ceremony, Yuhan-Kimberly executives and employees expressed their thoughts, saying, “It was a meaningful experience to be able to remind children of a sustainable tomorrow and give them the gift of a cleaner environment and future through eco-friendly hygiene products.”
The World Educational Cultural Aid plans to continue to practice sharing for underprivileged children and youth and take the lead in spreading the donation culture.
